Welsh & Recker is proud to announce that the firm’s co-founding partners, Catherine M. Recker and Robert E. Welsh Jr., have each been awarded a 2023 Band 1 ranking by Chambers and Partners USA, the legal industry’s definitive mark of excellence, in the category of Litigation: White-Collar Crime and Government Investigations.

Welsh & Recker, a premier boutique firm of courtroom litigators, also earned a 2023 Band 1 recognition from Chambers, marking the fourth consecutive year it has held the organization’s highest honor.

For Ms. Recker, the achievement marks her sixteenth year with a Band 1 ranking. Mr. Welsh, who also concentrates his practice in the areas of white collar crime and investigations, has now earned the designation every year since 2007. Samuel W. Silver, a celebrated trial attorney who officially joined the firm in June, has also received a Chambers ranking in each of the past three years for his standout representation of corporations and individuals in a range of civil and criminal matters.

Among other professional honors, Ms. Recker, Mr. Welsh and Mr. Silver all serve as members of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a preeminent association of attorneys dedicated to improving the standards of trial practice, advocacy and professional ethics in the United States and Canada. They are also recognized as Fellows in the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, an invitation-only organization of the most respected trial lawyers in the world.

Founded in 1989, Chambers employs the most rigorous, independent and in-depth research process of any legal directory on the market. Its rankings, widely acknowledged as the most prestigious in the profession, are used in more than 70 countries and 200 jurisdictions to identify the best legal talent and the most indispensable insights.
